All
KRM spreaders are positively bristling with innovative features
to ensure the machine is simple to use, easy to set, gives an
accurate application rate and spread
pattern and stands the test of time.

State of the
art Production
Each KRM machine
is manufactured to exacting standards using the latest techniques
in a state of the art factory. The CAD design, CNC tooling, Laser
cutters and robotic welders ensure quality from the very beginning.

Powder Coat
Paint
All steel
is stored outside the factory to encourage rust which as it forms
removes the surface slag. Its then shot blasted on entry to the
factory to prepare the surface. Once the component has been manufactured
it is shot blast again to remove any residue from fabrication
operations. A uniq machine manufactured by Bogballe then removes
all rough edges prior to the component entering a multi stage
chemical cleaning process. Powder coat paint is then applied electrostatically
as a dry powder to ensure a perfectly even coat. Finally all components
are baked to fix the paint the result is flexible finnish twice
as thick as wet paint and many times more corrosion resistant.

Stainless
Steel
Stainless
steel is used to produce the working parts of all KRM spreaders
including; hopper base, regulating mechanism, all guarding (not
L1), Disc's (not L1), link rods, shutters (Teflon coated on M2/M3)
and all nuts and bolts throughout the machine.

Adaptable
Agitator
All KRM fertiliser
spreaders feature the same uniq agitator design. The agitator
is mounted eccentrically above the disc and relies entirely on
the resistance of the fertiliser to make it ossolate. Therefore
if a light material such as urea is in the hopper the resistance
will be low and the agitation will be gentle and avoid powdering
the material. Equally if a heavy material such as potash is in
the hopper the agitator is forced to ossolate hard and ensures
good agitation and even flow on to the disc.

Flow control,
Blockage prevention
To ensure
the same flow of material through the outlet is maintained regardless
of the weight of material in the hopper a cone is mounted below
the screens. The cone also prevents fertiliser packing around
the agitator during transport. Hopper screens are standard on
all KRM spreaders and prevent lumps of material or foreign objects
blocking the shutters.

Small
Seeds Kit
Standard equipment
on all M2 and M3 machine (Option on L1 and L2). The small seeds
kit works by simply twisting the base of the hopper to restrict
the apertures size. Allows the machine to be used for spreading
slug pellets and oil seed rape etc. Not required for Grass.
|
| |
|
Double
Outlet
Rather than
a single outlet all KRM machines utilize a patented double shutter
design. This ensures that as the opening increases in size the
drop on point at which the fertiliser hits the disc remains the
same. Therefore when changing application rate it is not necessary
to alter any machine settings. This simplifies machine setting
on all models and is an essential feature on any machine fitted
with electric control and using variable application rates and
forward speeds.

Spread Pattern
All KRM spreaders
use a "Double Double Overlap" spread pattern in simple
terms this means the application rate gradually built up using
4 layers. This provides much greater tolerance to all external
factors. Learn more about "Double
Double Overlap"

Machine Testing
Bogballe have
their own fully automatic test hall located at their factory.
This is used to ensure the accuracy of the comprehensive spread
charts supplied with each machine. KRM regularly send large loads
of UK fertiliser to Denmark for tray testing as materials can
alter in their characteristics. During recent testing with Terra
Nitram a coefficient of variation of 6.1% was achieved using an
M2 spreader at 36m - an excellent result which demonstrates the
capability of our system.

Icon Electronic
Control
The Calibrator
Icon is available on all L2, KRM machines. It provides quick and
easy machine set up, application rate independant of forward speed
and on the move rate adjustment. The system is also able to record
information relating to a particular field including the area
spread, the application rate and the total quantity of material
applied, this information is all easily downloadable to assist
with record keeping.
With 2 way
RS232 communication the Icon can accept software updates and is
compatable with all leading GPS systems such as Green star, SOYL,
etc
