Whatever you
wish to spread, a KRM Trend Spreader will produce the most accurate
spread pattern possible, using the double, double overlap principle,
simply leaving the adjustment of one lever for rate.
The very wide,
shallow tapering pattern with huge overlap means that different
materials, cross winds or driver error have little effect on the
overall accuracy. This is achieved without changes of discs, vane
position or feed point, giving KRM spreaders a flexible and tolerant
system which is accurate, consistent, easy to set . . with much
less risk of striping.
This double,
double overlap system also means that when leaving or approaching
a headland at 90 degrees or at differing angles, it is only necessary
to switch on or off the full spread . . . eliminating the risk of
error from complex left and right shut off controls.
View the video
to see for yourself! The video was produced using actual test result
data from an "In Spinning" KRM Trend spreader and compared
with results from an "Out Spinning" spreader. The simulation
depicts two identical fields, the left field being spread with the
KRM "In Spinning" system and the right field with the
"Out Spinning" method.
Each field is
spread in the same sequence, starting first with the headland, then
working across the field. The single shut-off point for the KRM
system and the separate left and right shut-offs for the "Out
Spinning" method are indicated as the field area is covered.
The start (shown green) and shut-off (shown red) points for each
system are optimised to give the "best" result in each
case.
The resulting
comparison demonstrates that there is absolutely no difference
in overall spreading accuracy between the simple to operate KRM
"In Spinning" (or In-Centre) system and the more complex
"Out Spinning" (or Off-Centre) system.
And using the
KRM system could not be more simple . . . only half the start and
shut-off points are needed, making precise spreading much easier
for the operator.
